Anshan, Jan. 23 — A 2024 year-end gala and recognition event was held at Hilton Anshan Hotel. Under the guidance of the company’s leadership, all staff participated actively and looked forward to a transformative future.

The event was hosted by Ms. Tian Xue, head of the Administrative Department. By the date of the gathering, the company-wide headcount reached 1,012, including subsidiaries. All 370 staff in Anshan attended, and the vast majority remained on the front lines during the festival.

At the meeting, Mr. Han Dong, General Manager, delivered the annual work report for 2024 on behalf of the management team, and extended heartfelt New Year thanks and blessings to all colleagues who have worked diligently and contributed selflessly. While reflecting on past achievements, he expressed confidence and anticipation for the future. In his 2024 review, Mr. Han highlighted the accomplishments and merits of many departments and units, offering strong affirmation and praise.

Mr. Han emphasized that while recognizing past achievements, we must clearly identify existing problems and shortcomings, analyze them thoroughly, and take decisive corrective actions to become more mature and wiser. He also outlined eight major goals for 2025, including increased signed contract value, accelerating the transformation and application of scientific research results, and continuing to adhere to HT’s motto.

Mr. Han further stated that 2025 will be a year of overcoming difficulties and challenges, but also a year full of hope and promising prospects.

Under the Year of the Snake, we must seize the moment to build on our victories, sustain high enthusiasm, rigorous discipline, and sharp thinking. We will unite our efforts and advance decisively, collectively achieving further leaps for the company and co-creating new glories.

Subsequently, the event reached its climax as the entire staff rallied in high spirits, eagerly awaiting the moment of honor. The company leadership team — Vice Presidents Song Mingjiang, Shao Feng, and Dong Xinghong; General Manager Han; and Chairman Xu Lie — announced the award decisions in sequence and presented the top honors to honorees in the following categories: Department-Level Advanced Science & Technology Worker Award, Department-Level Individual Excellence Award, Company-Level Advanced Science & Technology Worker Award, Company-Level Quality Individual Award, Company-Level Individual Award, Advanced Science Manager Award, Outstanding Middle Management and Project Manager Award, Outstanding Science and Technology Team Award, and Outstanding Collective Award.

These awardees are the company’s most valuable assets, having dedicated countless days and nights, exerted tireless effort, and produced invaluable wisdom, making outstanding contributions to the company’s progress and development. They serve as role models for every employee and provide a guiding direction for our collective endeavors.

Following the awards, leaders from the Advanced Middle Management spoke via video link from the Vietnam project site:

Hou Yuchen (Director, Chemical Engineering Division) said, “The road ahead is long and arduous; I will persevere through all highs and lows.”

Lu Dongyu (Representative of Company-Level Individual Excellence) noted, “Journeys span a thousand miles and people part for ten years, time flies like an arrow; who knows that the Way of Heaven bends like a bow?”

Wang Dongfeng (Representative of Outstanding Managers) addressed, “Managers must be responsible for achieving goals, for the organization, and for others.”

Xu Wenjie (Representative of Zhi Wei Company) spoke from the Guangju Operations & Maintenance project site via video link, “We must take the lead, learn new knowledge and technologies, and embrace higher challenges.”

Their remarks were memorable and ignited strong resolve. Some quoted classical poetry, while others shared their growth journeys and reflections, inspiring themselves and encouraging all attendees. Every successful person advances through exploration and grows amid adversity. May every member of Huatai be as persistent and forward-looking as they are, weather setbacks, and press forward to help us achieve new milestones in 2025.

Finally, Chairman Xu Lie delivered the closing address. Xu stated:

“The company’s development relies on the hard work of all colleagues and the vigorous efforts of young staff. Nurturing and developing young talents is essential to provide a continuous driving force for the company’s sustained growth. At present, the company faces a very severe situation: domestic overproduction, ongoing shocks from emerging industries and intelligent sectors, a harsh international economic climate, and monopolistic pressures from developed countries. In the face of these internal and external challenges, we must, on one hand, continually learn and innovate, implement a company-wide learning program, and develop new technologies to achieve digital transformation; on the other hand, while steadily developing the domestic market, we should also look outward to explore overseas markets.”

Xu’s summary outlines our development model and direction, and instills full confidence. Even in a tough environment, our resolve remains high and our ambition to overcome difficulties endures. We remain committed to the lofty goal of Huatai Capital’s listing.

Xu added: “Let us unite as one, under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, seize the once-in-a-century opportunity, and contribute to the nation’s rejuvenation with HT’s strength.”

The opening performance “Golden Lions Usher in the New Year,” (performers: Sun Xingsheng, Liang Chen, Zhao Qiang, Zhang Miaodong, Du Yijing, Sun Hongyu, Tang Jincheng, Huang Tianyu, Wu Chunxu, Zhang Zeyu, Ding Zhiyu) captivates the entire audience’s attention. Its nimble postures and vigorous steps embody HT’s might and establish its spirit. Then comes a celestial entrance with “Angels Alight,” (performers: Chen Zhiwei, Sun Wanqiu, Guo Yi, Wang Linlin, Hu Yutong, Li Di, Lü Xiaoting) as if fairy beings descended to earth. Next, the song “Home” (singer: Wang Xing) rises, bringing everyone back to the human world and our homeland. The melody fills us with warmth and a sense of belonging.

This year’s gala outshines previous editions. The dance Trouble Maker (performers: Guo Tanci, Sun Yu, Meng Dexin, Liu Xinyue, Du Jian, Wang Lei) features frog costumes and adorable moves that help the audience relax and feel rejuvenated. The cross-talk act, Hearts as One Duet (performers: Xiao Sitong, Zhang Shi, Zhang Boyin), delivers endless laughter. The dance APT (performers: Liu Nanbing, Yang Yi, Yang Yuefeng) showcases the charm and dynamism of HT’s young female employees. A hip-hop-infused folk song, Rice Fragrance, (singers: Luan Xin, Cao Bowen) motivates those in hardship to summon courage and step toward the future. The dance Green Apple Paradise (performers: Tang Jincheng, Huang Tianyu, Wang Ruixue, Xin Jiahui, Liu Xingyan, Xu Chuyi) offers bright, exuberant movements that reveal HT staff’s sunny vitality and boundless vigor. The song Little Contentment (singer: Cui Fujia, Sun Xiuzhu’s daughter) invites the audience into a world of delicate joys—little pleasures that move the heart. The skit Three and a Half Sentences (performers: Zhang Weiliang, Liu Fenghe, Zhan Shuai, Zhang Boyin) is a riotous heap of humor and wit, eliciting continuous laughter. The hulusi solo Night in Dong Village (performer: Fu Yongshun) unfolds with serene, tranquil tones, letting everyone feel the deep warmth and quiet pride of the Dong people on a peaceful night.

The dance "When Grandpa Was Eighteen" (performers: Zhang Yanjun, Lu Dannie, Wang Qing, Ma Hao, Wang Xinyu, Zhang Yanlin, Gao Chao, Wang Junping, Wang Junsheng, Gu Xuan) opens with bright northwestern singing, delivering humorous and playful gestures with lively charm and enduring flavor.

The song "I Love You, China" (singer: Yu Miao) features a soloist with a rich, powerful voice, reflecting Huatai's patriotic spirit.

"Spring Breeze of Reform Sweeps the Land" (performers: Luan Wen, Luan Bin, Yu Jie, Zhang Aizhong, Zhang Boyin, Zhang Wenxin, Liu Fenghe) sees performers in matching floral vests and green headscarves, evoking the life sentiment of an older generation while presenting a distinctive, fresh flavor.

The dance "Chasing the Bright Moon" (performers: Cui Fujia, Lu Dannie, Wang Zheng, Li Shiyang, Chen Lu, Guo Chengeng, Ma Hao, Xu Ruifeng, Gao Ting) uses uniform ancient costumes to provide a vivid, immersive experience; its romantic mood and elegant choreography are endlessly captivating.

"Ideal" (reciter: Ren Hongri) is a solo recitation delivered at a measured, steady pace, projecting firm resolve.

The dance "Love You" (performers: Zhang Kexin, Ma Chunyu, Jia Xiu, Zhang Jiayi, Fu Hailiang, Wang Xuantong, Ren Xu) features cute, endearing moves set to a lively rhythm, recalling vivid memories of youth.

As we admire the exquisite movements and listen to the moving music, a group of leaders cannot resist the moment and steps onto the stage to perform a rendition of "My Motherland" (singers: Xu Lie, Han Dong, Dong Xinghong, Shao Feng, Song Mingjiang, Li Fuquan, Zhang Xiaoguang, Xue Gaifeng, Zheng Helei, Shi Xuefeng, Wang Na, Wang Shuangping, Fu Yongshun). Their full, resonant voices express a deep love for the homeland. The piece "The Nameless" (singers: Luan Wen, Zhang Wenxin) features a somber melody and delicate lyrics that capture the voices of countless devoted individuals. As the evening drew to a close, the wine unveiling ceremony was inaugurated by Chairman Xu Lie to the pulsating rhythm of the "Marlboro March". The Hundred Jars of Raw Fenjiu, with one jar opened each year, symbolize HT’s long-standing heritage and the pursuit of a century-long legacy. As the new chapter begins, the wine’s fragrance fills the air. Amid the aroma, colleagues raise their glasses in a collective toast to past glories and a fresh year ahead.
